More Zotob Removal Tools
I posted a list of two Zotob removal tools the other day, but it seems that more are out. If you're building a USB keychain for malware removal and Zotob cleanup, these should be on it. They don't replace a full blown AV scanner, but they can help you in a crisis time. Many thanks to Donna's blog for the list.- Panda QuickRemover by Panda Software

- Zotob.A disinfection tool by F-Secure

- Stinger by McAfee
- Malicious Software Removal Tool by Microsoft

Hey, do any of these tools run on Linux? I use Slackware 10.1 at home and I don't want to get infected.
Wait, what's that you said? The last major linux worm was "slapper" in 2002? Oh, what a relief! I thought that "computer worm" meant a generally epidemic worm, not a worm confined to a specific operating system.
But that raises a larger point. Why haven't people migrated wholesale to platforms that don't support clouds of viruses and worms? Perhaps the cost of switching is much, much higher than the costs imposed by protecting against the quarterly epidemic. That would indicate a real cost *much* lower than those calculated by mi2g and others, wouldn't it?

A Virus as you know could attack your computer, slow it down, invade your privacy, and steal your personal and sensitive information. Sometimes, you may not even know that you have been infected by viruses, worms or spywares.
